Refund Policy

Last updated: March 9, 2026

1. Overview

Ovvoc ("we," "us," or "our") subscriptions are billed through Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which serves as our Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller of record for all transactions and handles payment processing, invoicing, sales tax, VAT, and other applicable taxes on our behalf.

This Refund Policy governs cancellations and refunds for all Ovvoc subscriptions. By subscribing to the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this policy. This policy supplements our Terms of Service.

2. Subscription Billing

All Ovvoc subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selected plan). Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate unless cancelled prior to renewal. Current plan details and pricing are available on our Pricing page.

You authorize Paddle to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis for the applicable subscription fees plus any applicable taxes. All fees are exclusive of taxes unless otherwise stated. Paddle calculates and collects applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, and other transactional taxes based on your billing address.

3. Free Trial

Ovvoc offers a 7-day free trial for the Starter plan. During the trial period, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and you will be billed at the applicable rate.

4. Refund Policy

You may request a refund within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase. In respect of subscription services, the right to cancel applies only to the initial subscription and does not apply upon each automatic renewal, in accordance with Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. Refund requests made within the 14-day period will be processed without conditions, in accordance with Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms.

To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] or contact Paddle Support directly. All approved refunds are processed through Paddle and will be returned to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.

For full details on your refund rights, please refer to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through either of the following methods:

  • Dashboard: Navigate to Settings in your Ovvoc dashboard and select the cancellation option under your billing settings.
  • Email: Send a cancellation request to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account.

Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have full access to the Service until that date.

After your subscription expires, your account will be downgraded and dependency monitoring, updates, and pull request generation will cease. Your account data (settings, history, and reports) will be retained for 90 days following cancellation, after which it may be permanently deleted.

6. Paddle as Merchant of Record

Paddle.com Market Limited processes all payments for Ovvoc and serves as the Merchant of Record. This means Paddle is the entity that:

  • Charges your payment method and processes transactions;
  • Handles all tax compliance, including calculating and remitting sales tax, VAT, GST, and other applicable taxes;
  • Issues invoices and receipts for all transactions;
  • Processes approved refunds to your original payment method.

Your payment will appear on your bank or credit card statement as a charge from Paddle (not Ovvoc). For payment-related inquiries or refund requests, you may contact Paddle Support directly. Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms apply to all transactions processed through their platform.

7. Plan Changes

Upgrades. When you upgrade to a higher-tier plan, you gain immediate access to the features and limits of the new plan. A prorated charge will be applied for the remainder of your current billing period, reflecting the price difference between your previous plan and the new plan.

Downgrades. When you downgrade to a lower-tier plan, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You will continue to have access to the features of your current plan until the end of the current billing period.

If your downgrade would result in exceeding the repository limit of the lower-tier plan, you will need to disable monitoring on repositories that exceed the limit before the downgrade takes effect.

8. Account Termination

Termination for cause. If we terminate your account due to a violation of our Terms of Service — including but not limited to abuse of the Service, unauthorized access attempts, or use of the Service for unlawful purposes — refund eligibility will be determined by Paddle in accordance with their Checkout Buyer Terms.

Service discontinuation. In the unlikely event that we permanently discontinue the Ovvoc Service entirely, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice and issue a prorated refund for any prepaid fees covering the period after the date of discontinuation.

9. Contact
